A two-minute check

Are we the right fit for each other?

Most enquiries start with a generic meeting. We would rather know what you actually need first, so the time we offer you is the right one.

It works both ways. If we are not the right firm for what you need, we will tell you honestly and point you somewhere that is.

All enquiries are handled directly by our directors. No juniors, no hand-offs.

This field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.
What do you need help with?(Required)
This decides which questions we ask you next.
What did the business turn over last full financial year, excluding GST?(Required)
Roughly where does that sit?(Required)
Roughly where does that sit?(Required)
How long has the business been trading?(Required)
How is the business set up? Choose all that apply.(Required)
Do you employ staff?(Required)
What do you use for your accounts?(Required)
Would you be open to moving to Xero?(Required)
Are your ATO lodgements up to date?(Required)
What industry are you in?(Required)
Captured for our records. It does not affect the result.
What is prompting the conversation?(Required)
Choose up to two.
When are you looking to move?(Required)
Which sounds most like you?(Required)
I am looking for an ongoing relationship with an accountant, not a one-off job(Required)
How many members does the fund have?(Required)
Roughly what is the fund worth?(Required)
An estimate is fine.
What is the fund invested in, now or planned?(Required)
Choose all that apply.
Who looks after the fund now?(Required)
Are the fund's annual returns up to date?(Required)
What is prompting the conversation?(Required)
Choose up to two.
Which sounds most like you?(Required)
Where are you up to?(Required)
What is driving the decision to set up a structure?(Required)
Choose up to two.
Will anyone else be an owner?(Required)
When do you need this in place?(Required)
I understand the structured advice meeting is a paid appointment, and that the fee for the meeting I choose is shown on the booking page(Required)
What is in the return? Choose all that apply.(Required)
How many years need doing?(Required)
Who did your last return?(Required)

Worth a proper conversation.

Based on what you have told us, we would like to talk. Pick a time that suits you and we will have read what you have told us before we speak. There is no charge for it and it is not a sales pitch, it is thirty minutes on your situation and whether we are the right firm to look after it.

Getting the structure right is the first job.

Setting a business up properly involves decisions about tax, asset protection and cost that are awkward and expensive to unwind later, so we deal with them in a dedicated structured advice meeting rather than a general chat. You come away with a recommendation you can act on, in writing. It is a paid appointment, and the two options below differ in who you sit down with, in what each one is suited to, and in what each one costs.

The two meetings are priced differently. Each fee is inclusive of GST, and it is shown and confirmed on the booking page before you book.

Choose the meeting that suits your setup.

Meet with a client manager.

Suits a straightforward setup where the questions are which entity to use, what to register for, and how to handle GST and payroll from day one.

Meet with a director.

The better choice where partners or investors are coming in, or there is an existing business or property involved.

We can look after your return.

There are two ways to do this and neither is better than the other, so pick whichever suits you. If you are not sure, send us your details and we will suggest the easiest option for your situation.

Two ways to do it.

Book an appointment.

Sit down with one of our accountants, bring what you have, and in most cases we finish the return in the appointment. You choose in the office or over a video call when you pick your time.

No appointment at all.

Send us your details and your documents and we will prepare the return remotely, then send it to you to check and sign. We will only pick up the phone if something genuinely needs a conversation.

Worth a conversation, with a bit more information first.

There is enough here that we want to look at it properly before we put a time in the diary. Leave your details and we will come back to you within one business day, either with a time or with a scope and a price for the work that needs doing before anything else.

We are probably not the right firm for you right now.

We would rather say that up front than take a meeting and reach the same conclusion an hour later. Our fees reflect the level of ongoing advice we are set up to provide, and if the deciding factor is finding the lowest price then another firm will serve you better and cost you less. That is not a judgement about you, it is just a poor match.

Two ways to leave this on good terms.

Join the waiting list.

Leave your details and we will let you know if and when we open up capacity at your stage. We will not contact you about anything else, and joining the list is not a commitment on either side.

Ask for a referral.

Tell us what you need and we will point you to a firm we would be comfortable sending a friend to.

Where should we send this?

Phone(Required)

We use these answers to work out how we can help, and we keep your enquiry so we can come back to you if we can help you later. You can ask us to remove it at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.

Common questions

Questions, answered plainly

Still have a question?
What happens if the check shows we are not the right fit right now?

We would rather say so upfront than take a meeting and reach the same conclusion an hour later. It is not a judgement on your business: you can join our waiting list for when capacity opens, or ask us to point you to a firm we would be comfortable sending a friend to.

Is the result of the check binding on either side?

No. The check only decides what happens next, whether that is a discovery call, a structured advice meeting or a referral elsewhere. Joining the waiting list is not a commitment either way, and a discovery call carries no charge and no obligation.

What if our turnover is currently under $1 million?

It is not an automatic no. Our fees reflect the level of ongoing advice we are set up to provide, and the check is there to work out honestly whether that fits where your business is right now, or whether another firm would suit you better and cost less.

We already have an accountant. Can we still take the check?

Yes, and it is a common reason people take it. The check simply works out whether a conversation is worthwhile, without you needing to commit to anything or say for certain that you have already decided to make the move.

How do you actually decide whether we are a fit?

It looks at more than turnover alone: your business structure, staff numbers, how your accounts are kept, and what is prompting the conversation all shape which path we point you to, including a dedicated route for self-managed super fund trustees.

What happens immediately after we submit the check?

Depending on your answers, you will be offered a no-charge discovery call, a paid structured advice meeting for a new setup, one of two ways to get a return done, or a note that we need a little more information first. If you would rather talk it through with a person, you can always get in touch directly.

I have been going to Kris (and his team) for several years now. He is a consummate professional, and I am very pleased with the Tax results he has achieved for me, something I could never have done myself. He is worth every cent of his fee! In addition he is a very enjoyable person to work with, is very client centred, and in terms of character, he was someone you can depend on if in a jam.

Kris was such a pleasure to deal with. He has a fun and approachable style and a real talent for explaining complex tax concepts in a way that feels clear, engaging and accessible, even for those of us that do not have a clue. I walked in feeling nervous about my situation and walked out super happy! Thanks Kris! Five stars PLUS!

Amber is an absolute gem. I felt overwhelmed, nervous and riddled with anxiety heading in, as money doesn’t come ‘easy’. Amber put my nerves at ease and made me feel empowered when I left. I have more knowledge to apply to my business, and looking forward to making my money goals thrive with her. Thank You Amber 🌻💛 …

I was new to setting up a business and the account I worked with was great. We decided on the best structure and they made the registration process really easy. They had also provided great advice on what the next steps are regarding ongoing compliance. Very happy.

Amber has looked after myself and my husband a couple of times now and has been nothing but friendly and professional both times. She clearly knows her stuff and patiently walks through some of the tricker aspects of all things tax. We’ve been delighted with her service and will happily return. Thanks again Amber, very much appreciated.

We met with Casey to complete my husband’s tax return – this was the first time for us using an Accountant. We were able to do this online with Casey over Zoom and she was absolutely lovely. She was able to get the best return for my husband and was extremely prompt with her responses. The whole process from start to finish was very quick, easy and the fee we paid was very reasonable. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Casey and will be seeing her next year!
